Fronting Life is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating accessible spaces where people can connect, heal, grow, and explore new ways of supporting their well-being.
Sometimes that looks like meditation and stillness. Sometimes it's movement, creativity, conversation, recovery support, or simply laughing and connecting with other people.
Our programs are designed to meet you where you are and give you opportunities to explore what works for you.
Everyone is welcome.
If you're looking for community, connection, personal growth, mindfulness, creativity, movement, recovery support, or simply something different to experience, there's a place for you here.
You don't need to identify a particular way, believe anything specific, or already have a wellness practice.
Fronting Life brings together people from all walks of life.
You belong before you ever walk through the door.
Absolutely.
In fact, many people do.
Walking into a new space alone can feel uncomfortable, so we work intentionally to create an environment that feels welcoming and approachable.
There is no expectation that you already know someone.
Come alone. You may leave knowing someone.
Not at all.
You don't need to know how to meditate, practice yoga, write creatively, make art, or have experience with any of the practices we offer.
Our programs are designed to be approachable for beginners while still being meaningful for people with established practices.
Curiosity is enough.
No.
Fronting Life has meaningful roots and partnerships within the recovery community, and recovery remains an important part of our work.
But Fronting Life is for everyone.
You do not need to be in recovery, have a history of substance use, or identify with recovery to participate in our general community programming.
Some programs, such as Dharma Recovery, specifically focus on recovery. Our broader meditation, mindfulness, movement, creativity, and community programs welcome everyone.
Yes.
Accessibility is fundamental to our mission.
Many Fronting Life programs are offered by donation, allowing you to contribute what is accessible to you.
If you can give, your contribution helps us continue making these experiences available to others.
If you can't give right now, you are still welcome.
Your ability to participate should not depend on your ability to pay.
We Recommend Monday Mindfulness.
Monday Mindfulness is one of the easiest ways to experience Fronting Life for the first time.
Each week offers a different experience and may include guided meditation, mindfulness, sound healing, breathwork, visualization, chakra work, Reiki, or other contemplative practices.
No meditation experience is necessary.
Just reserve your spot, arrive, and allow yourself to experience something new.
It depends on the experience.
Your registration will tell you if anything specific is needed. For many programs, you simply need comfortable clothing, an open mind, and yourself.
For meditation or movement experiences, we may recommend bringing a yoga mat, water, blanket, or anything else that helps you feel comfortable.
We'll let you know beforehand.
That's completely normal.
Trying something new, entering an unfamiliar space, or showing up without knowing anyone can feel uncomfortable.
You don't have to wait until the nervousness disappears.
Come in. Find a spot. Take a breath. Give yourself permission to simply experience what's happening without needing to perform, impress anyone, or get anything "right."
You don't have to be confident enough to come. Sometimes showing up is how confidence begins.
Hopefully, you find something worth coming back for.
Try another meditation.
Join a conversation.
Make something.
Move your body.
Attend a community event.
Bring a friend—or come alone again.
Over time, you may discover that you're no longer simply attending Fronting Life.
YOU'RE PART OF IT.
